Exotic Blends and Distillates
This section is being updated!
This section will introduce limited quantities of extremely unusual drinks available by the single bottle, typically, and pricing reflects the source costs, which include some very expensive wines.
Wines that are distilled at room temperature under vacuum (or low pressure carbon dioxide) separate into 4 main fractions:
Angels: these are lost to almost all other distillation techniques, and are collected here at -196°C liquid nitrogen cooling. This is the wine's bouquet.
Heads: This collects in the ice water cooled section, and consists of most of the wine's fragrant alcohol.
Body: This consists mainly of somewhat uninteresting water, but is of course essential for the character of the whole wine. If all other fractions are recombined without this, a "wine" of fantastic concentration results, which can be overwhelming and magical at the same time.
Feet: - not tails, as tails are distilled. The wine's feet remain firmly in the distillation chamber, and do not evaporate. A non alcoholic powerful undamaged syrup that is high in dissolved solids/colour, that may now precipitate out in part.
